First time here.. Friday night and it was pretty busy. They sat us within 5 minutes, staff is attentive and friendly. For an appetizer we ordered the scallion pancakes and sweet corn soup with crabmeat and chicken (very tasty). I ordered garlic chicken and my husband ordered phoenix and the dragon (nice spice level). Food was delicious, nice ambiance, superb customer service. We will definitely be back.
Good food, pleasant staff. Love the old-school touches of noodles and duck sauce on the table. I used to go there many years ago when I live in the area it was nice to revisit it. Plan to go back soon.
The food is good. I went twice and both times I wasn't disappointed I'd recommend going when it's not as busy ( the weekends). They are much more personable during the week
Visited Imperial Orchid recently with family. the food was very good and the service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed the wide Chinese noodles and duck sauce. I used to go here many years ago for take out when I lived in the area. Glad we decided to go for an enjoyable sit down meal.
We were in Farmingdale from Florida so we were unfamiliar with the area. We knew we wanted Chinese, but where? After a few "false starts" finally found Imperial Orchid. All I can say is WOW...A+ service, and the food was excellent. We ordered the pu pu platter, everything was so delicious, but I especially liked the spare ribs! We ordered a number of dishes and shared. Shrimp lo mein, General Tao's Chicken, Peking Duck. All very well done. Loved the atmosphere, too! You want great service, and great food....don't go anywhere else but Imperial Orchid!!!!
Went back to Imperial Orchard. I think it is underrated. Both times the food was very good, and the atmosphere was jolly! This time I had the wonton soup, egg roll and veg lomein. All was delicious. The staff were very friendly and personable, our waitress said that she would make my order into a combo so that it included ice cream! I couldn't argue with that! The ice cream was a good quality and served in a crystal goblet, very fancy! Our waitress also brought over hand wipes and even opened the package for us. Don't let the quirky decor put you off, this is definitely my go to for sit down Chinese. Now and forever.
Drove by this place numerous times, and decided to give it a try one Sunday afternoon. The inside is fancy, and was very quiet. Ended up being a nice lunch date. We did have a bit of a wait for our food, but everything was good. Definitely coming back!
